How we help
How we help
Wherever the narrowing is showing up, in a depleted leader, a team that has stopped growing, or a culture pulling against its own strategy, the path out is similar: reconnect people to their best selves, then help them do the honest, courageous work of moving forward. What follows are the three ways that work most often takes shape. None of them are fixed packages. We start from your situation and design the right version with you.
Take the 2-minute checkLeadership Renewal
When your leaders are worn down, or unsettled, by the uncertainty.
The challenge
Your strongest people have been carrying the most, for the longest. Some are burned out and isolated. Others are quietly anxious about what leadership, or AI, now asks of them, or whether they still fit the culture and the stress that comes with it. Left alone, it doesn't just cost you those leaders. It spreads to the teams who take their cues from them. And pushing harder only makes it worse. What depleted leaders need first is to step out of the noise and reconnect to who they are and what matters, before they can lead well again.
Our approach
We create the space to anchor, renew, and rebuild hope, and help each leader leave with clarity, a few meaningful goals, real next steps, and support for the return.
What it looks like in practice
A university department was running on empty. Budget cuts, mounting outside pressure, and frontline staff quietly worried about paying their own bills. In a single half-day, we named what was real, helped people reconnect to why the work still mattered, and rebuilt enough hope and clarity to choose a few meaningful next steps. They left steadier, more connected, and ready to lead again.

A partner at a global firm arrived depleted and disconnected, at work and at home. Through the work he reconnected to what mattered most, repaired an important relationship in his family, and came back more present and more focused. He also began collaborating across the firm in ways that helped its business, the very culture shift the firm had been trying to create.
“All of this created meaningful change at both the organizational and individual levels. Shawn's perspective and ability to invite us to a higher purpose made a lasting impact, and we look forward to continuing our partnership.”
Leadership Journeys
When you develop leaders but it doesn't stick.
The challenge
You invest in developing your leaders, and for a while it feels good. Then the workshop ends, the inbox fills back up, and the old habits return. The missing piece is almost always the same: people rarely get to practice the ideas in their real work, and they can be wary of trying new ways of leading. Learning that never becomes experience doesn't change behavior.
Our approach
A leadership journey is built to change that. We move a group through a cycle over time: learn a focused idea, apply it, run a real experiment, then reconvene to reflect and hold each other accountable. That loop is where ideas become lasting habits.
“We put 25 of our leaders through Shawn Quinn's Positive Leadership Program, and it became the foundation for how we think about leadership across our organization. It gave our team a shared language and a shared commitment: running weekly experiments on positive practices, building real relationships across locations, and aligning around a vision we could all see and believe in. It helped us understand our organizational strengths, surface our challenges honestly, and tap into our potential together. Invaluable doesn't cover it. We're adding more people to the program and expanding into additional courses. If you lead a team and want something that actually sticks, this is it.”
What it looks like in practice
A production manager came to us frustrated and stuck. Her team worked tirelessly but couldn't move their numbers. Through the journey she tried a genuinely new way of leading, handing ownership back to her team, and reflected on what changed. A line stuck at 50% climbed into the 80s, and her direct labor cost dropped by $288,000 that year. Most important, she left believing in a better way to engage and empower people, one she kept using long after that first win.

A driven, high-performing sales leader believed for years that asking for help was weakness, that she had to know everything and carry everything alone. In one session of her leadership journey, the group practiced asking each other for help. It built just enough belief for her to try it for real, with her own team and with others. As she did, she began empowering the people around her instead of carrying it all, and over time, through many conversations, that belief took hold. Her team's engagement scores became some of the highest in her part of the business, and the change outlasted the program by years.
“Shawn is a pleasure to work with. We were fortunate to have him in our VP leadership program, where he set the tone for leadership and brought a depth of thinking that most of us don't often make time to explore.”
Culture Change and Advising
When what you say and what your leaders do don't match.
The challenge
Your strategy is clear on paper. But leadership behavior and the culture tell another story. Senior teams stay polite and avoid the real conversations. Change stalls, and no one quite names why. The norms quietly protect the very things you're trying to change, and the people with the courage to lead differently often get pulled back into line.
Our approach
We help you see the gap clearly and close it: surfacing the unspoken dynamics on your senior team, aligning behavior with the future you say you want, and finding and spreading your existing positive deviants while freeing the people on the verge of leading that way, so their example can spread. Coaching and advising support the leaders carrying the change.
What it looks like in practice
An HR leader across two manufacturing plants was losing 220 people a month in a culture built on micromanagement. As he experimented with a different way of leading, he took hard feedback, held his ground with headquarters, and shifted from controlling to empowering. Within a year, monthly turnover fell from 220 to 65 a month, engagement rose to among the highest in the region, and the company saved just under $1.3 million.

A capable leader in a company that kept asking for new revenue, then shutting down new ideas, had run out of energy and was ready to leave. He'd been on the verge of leading differently, but kept getting pushed back into line. We helped him rebuild clarity and conviction, and he quietly built the case for his idea, ran small pilots, and brought back the data. Within about a year, the idea he'd been told to drop had generated £105 million in new revenue. Freed, one positive deviant changed what the company believed was possible.

A senior manager reset a depleted, high-pressure group by protecting healthier boundaries and starting regular one-on-one conversations with every associate. Within months the team was initiating those conversations on its own, and the group ranked in the top five of twenty-two departments across all seven engagement categories.
“Shawn and his colleagues helped us build an extraordinary culture during a major merger. His engaging approach opened our minds, strengthened engagement, and drove innovation. Many still say it was the best time of their careers.”
Individual coaching
A note on individual coaching
Individual coaching can strengthen the work in all three areas, whether a leader is renewing, growing through a journey, or navigating culture and change. If you think coaching might help you or someone on your team, reach out for an initial conversation at no cost, so you and Shawn can decide together whether it's a good fit.
Not sure which fits? Start there.
You don't need to have it figured out. Take the 2-minute check, or start a conversation, and we'll find the right way in together.
