Positive Practices AssessmentAfter realizing that 8 in 10 ten companies that downsize never recover or accomplish the desired financial results Kim Cameron became interested in studying the 20% who not only recovered but thrived after they downsized. What was unique about the culture of these companies? After 15 years of research he came up with a list of positive practices he saw in the 20%. Cameron has now used this assessment with many companies across multiple industries and shown a correlation between strong positive practices and business performance. The bottom line from a number of studies is that implementing positive practices significantly predict organizational performance, improvement in positive practice scores predict significant improvement in profitability, and positive practices have a strong positive relationship with employee engagement.
