Mel BlighMel Bligh is a coach, facilitator and consultant. She partners with teams and individuals in organisations of all shapes and sizes. Her passion is helping talented people reach their potential by helping them find their own definition of success, through offering positive challenge and bespoke solutions.Mel ventured into the world of work when she was 18 only to realise that she had much more potential than she was using. After 2 years she decided to go to university and gained a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. She used this to enter the field of Human Resources and has worked for several blue chip organisations, such as Bass PLC, Ford Motor Company and American Express. Her experience covers a variety of specialisms from Employee Relations, Business Partnering to Learning and Development. She doesn't view herself as an 'expert' but rather an 'expert problem solver'. Mel has extensive experience of working in global HR teams, as the European lead, providing clients with thought leadership in change management, business transfers and learning and development. Since leaving American Express in August 2003, Mel has got married, travelled the world for a year and relocated from Brighton to Leeds and recently had a baby girl (January 2007). At the end of 2004 Mel started her own company, Shine and Rise Limited, which enables her to fulfill her passion of developing talented people. Mel has worked with a variety of companies from large blue chips such as HBOS, O2 and LogicaCMG, to SMEs as varied as architects, public relations and further education colleges. She believes in making the most in life and in helping clients do the same. Mel is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). In addition to her degree she has an advanced diploma in coaching and is an NLP Master Practitioner. |
