With regards to cost reduction: I agree that if there is a positive relationship, there is cost reduction. Why? Because when the employees love the company, they wouldn't just leave the company and look for another job. And because of that, the company's cost of hiring and training new employees will be greatly reduced because there low employee turnover.

It is true that when the employer creates a positive relationship, there is a great deal of attachment and commitment from the employee towards the employer. An example of this in the housemaid of our neighbor. She was became a housemaid when she was 18 years old. But the family where she worked, treated her as part of the family. That's why she didn't get married and until now that she's already 54 years old, she never left that family.

I would like to comment on the third point. I can see that this indeed can help create positive relationships especially for new hires because they will feel welcome to their new work place. I believe that being able to feel welcome and appreciated is a good start for employees to do their best in the workplace.

In the company where I work, they always give us time to relax and bond with other employees. They give us time to go on field trips, expense-free. I think it is one way of fostering camaraderie and a good relationship with our employers.

That is the work of the human resource department. That's why there is a(an) HR dept so that it will bridge the gap between the employees and the top officials of the company.

It's not all about just the money. You may be working in the best hotel in the world but if that company could not make postiive relationships especially in handling its employees, it will still turn to ruin. I believe that an employee will definitely go to an employer who respects his/her right and helps him/her grow than an employer who gives you a high rate of pay and yet never even cared about you.
